People and Communities

Directed by our members, we:

• Support the member-led People and Communities Panel. A forum of councillors that collaborate, share best practice and advocates on behalf of all councils in the region regarding Health, care, housing and wellbeing.
• Provide members the opportunity to debate and address the common challenges in delivering effective adults and children’s social care services in the east.
• Work alongside our partners in the national LGA, Association of Directors of Adult Social Services (ADASS) and the Association of Directors of Children’s Services (ADCS) to tackle pressures facing adults and children’s social care.
• Enable councils to share learning and best practice in health and social care integration and innovation within the region and more widely, and support preventative health and wellbeing measures across the region.
